This is the story of a sort of family 'miracle'... a tale of two sisters who, for around 70 years fought - in their youth screaming, yelling, hitting, kicking and biting and later simply insulting, sulking and then more or less ignoring each other!  But suddenly one day during a rare phonecall between France and the UK the sisters found themselves chatting together like 'grown-ups'.    I am now so happy to be able to tell everyone that for the last few years and particularly over the final months of her life, Mugs and I not only phoned regularly (no real contact has been possible recently of course because of the wretched covid) AND ended nearly all our calls in fits of near hysterical laughter as we regaled ourselves with ridiculous memories of our past and particularly of our very 'different' parents.  At last and certainly not least, we realised that we shared that most important British quality - a sense of humour!   God bless you, Mugs...I miss you lots and lots now...Love from your bitchy sister, Anne
